About PREV

What this platform is, and how to use each part of it.

What is PREV

PREV is the knowledge and early-signalling platform of TrendSein for professionals who work with young people — youth work, municipalities, education, police, care and safety. You type a term, emoji, trend or situation and immediately get context, signals and practical guidance for action. Comparable to the Farmacotherapeutisch Kompas (the Dutch national drug formulary), but for young people's online world: factual, up to date and grounded in a curated knowledge base — never sensational, never moralising.

How to use it

Search

The starting point. Type a trend, term, emoji or situation into the search bar and you immediately get the matching entry with context, signals and guidance for action. Every entry has an urgency label — DANGEROUS (acute, escalate), CONCERNING (flag it), EMERGING (new phenomenon, monitor) or INFORMATIVE (awareness).

Ask the assistant

An ongoing conversation in plain language. Ask your question, and feel free to ask follow-up questions. The PREV assistant answers exclusively from the PREV knowledge base and always cites its source — it invents nothing beyond the wiki.

Social map new

Find national support organisations and their regional branches. Postcode search with a theme filter (safety, home situation, mental health, parenting). At the bottom of every wiki entry there is also a 'Help in your region' block with the most relevant organisations. The demo uses static sample data; the full version is linked via a municipal API.

Academy new

Compact e-learning modules based on the knowledge base — for youth work, education, police and care. Each module ends with a test and a certificate. €10 one-off per module, or a €14/month subscription for the whole library (no payment possible in the demo).

FAQ

The questions most often asked by professionals in youth work, education, police and care, with a short answer and a reference to the relevant entries in the knowledge base.

Forum

Behind a personal login, professionals share what they are seeing within their own organisation. The forum is about what is going on, not about who did it: no names, files or cases. Posts are moderated and automatically removed after an agreed period.

Status — what is done, what is coming

updated May 2026

live Navigator + knowledge base

29 entries (14 trends, 6 emoji categories, 6 street-slang categories, 3 thematic). Full search, urgency labels v2 (INFORMATIVE/EMERGING/CONCERNING/DANGEROUS).

live Wiki-grounded assistant

Multi-turn dialogue with Claude Haiku, the whole wiki as a prompt-cached system block. Answers only from the wiki and cites the source — or declines. No RAG, no embeddings.

live Studio (self-publishing for Daniel)

Login-protected admin at /studio. Upload a PDF or paste text → AI draft → review → publish. PII-free analytics (visits, search terms, questions). Storage on a Railway volume.

new, live Social map phase 1

7 national anchor organisations (Veilig Thuis, Halt, CJG, Jeugdbescherming, GGZ Jeugd/113, Politie Jeugd, youth work) per entry and on the dedicated Social map tab with postcode search. Next step: Stipter/SKN API as soon as a municipality connects.

new, live Academy demo mock-up

Two modules worked out (Online radicalisation, SkinnyTok) to demonstrate the e-learning concept. Mock-up style — no real payments, progress stored on the device. Production version (accounts, payments, server-side progress) is on the roadmap.

new Site-wide soft daylight

The whole platform now uses a calm, professional light palette (previously cinematic dark). Easier to read in the day-to-day working context of municipalities and care teams.

About TrendSein

TrendSein develops knowledge products about young people's online world for public-sector professionals. PREV is the first product in that portfolio and focuses on signalling, understanding and connecting — recognising what is going on, putting it in context, and referring to the right support.
